A soul wandering in a crowd [P]

In the middle of a large crowd of people, roaming the shopping districts of Kirigakure, was a small light pink haired girl. Much shorter then the rest of the crowd, and almost as unnoticeable as a ghost. The girl had a pink colored hair, as well as eyes, though her eyes were somewhat dull and emotionless. On her back, upside down, and with the blade behind her feet was a very, very large scythe that had a wicked design. A scythe that looked even bigger then she was. There was a long thick chain with a large what looked like a weight connected to the end, and was wrapped around the blade of the scythe, so it wouldn't cut anyone by accident. On her left hand was a large thick gauntlet that had sharp claws at the fingers. These, being her weapons, and defense. The ultimate Offense, and the ultimate defense. Though she was a Genin, she used them fairly well, although she hasn't quite figured out their full extent of abilities yet. She was dressed in a sleeveless black gown like outfit that was cut open in the front, revealing her panties and part of her stomach, and was designed like a cloak from her waist down. She wore large boots on her feet, with leggings that reached up to the bottom of her thighs, and on her arms were sleeves that only reached just above her elbows, but extended to her wrists, leaving her shoulders and part of her arms visible. On her right arm, the sleeve was tight, but got more loose around the wrist, where it hung down a little, and her hand was covered with a brown glove.

She wandered around until she came to a fancy looking building, where she smelled something good. She didn't really want to go in, so instead she tried to look through the window, that was higher up. Standing up on her toes, as high as she could, Revy placed her hands on the windowsill, and just managed to look through. It was rather fancy inside, and there were people sitting at tables everywhere, with a lot of food. The smell made her a little hungry, but she ignored it for now, and dropped from the windowsill, back flat on her feet. She began walking in one direction, but still had her head turned, and bumped into an older lady by accident, who was walking with a man next to her. Revy looked up as the lady continued walking "So-..." She said, but stopped because it was as if the lady hadn't noticed. The usual, when it comes to villagers around her. It was as if she had the curse of the dead.

Kiyomi wandered around the Kiri shopping district with a growling stomach. She was starving. She hadn't eaten anything all day, having woken up late before remembering she had a mission that day. The mission had taken nearly all day; she had traveled to Konoha to deliver a package because of an injured messenger ninja person. As soon as she had arrived back home, her older brother had challenged her to a race. It was something they did from time to time, and Kiyo could never resist accepting his challenges. It had been a mistake on her part, because now she was tired out and in a rather foul mood because she had lost the race. With some local money in her pocket, she continued through the rather crowded Kiri streets to find someplace to eat.

She was wearing her usual attire which consisted of a baggy gray hoodie, and her rather slimming, black cargo pants. Her noticeable blue hair was in a knot at the back of her head, the messy hairstyle usually bringing out her even brighter blue eyes. Her pale skin stood out against the misty country and the crowds of people. Then again, not much of her skin showed thanks to her outfit. Her hands were stuffed in her hoodie stomach pouch, fingering the kunai and other ninja tools in it. As she swiftly dodged the people in the crowd, she looked to her left and noticed a quaint little ramen shop she went to sometimes. It had decent enough food for decent enough prices. She might even be able to order three bowls with the money she had on her.

Her temporary distraction had caused her to unexpectedly pause in the middle of the road. Then, when she turned back to look in front of her, taking an automatic step forward, she felt something collide with her. She managed to stand her ground, though she could not say as much for the other person. "Omigosh, I'm so sorry!" Kiyomi automatically said, looking down at the kid she had knocked down. As she held out her hand to the girl, she was a little shocked to find herself looking at Revy Izumi, her fellow pink-haired Genin. She knew her since they had been children in the village. Everyone knew who Revy was, though they thought mean things most of the time. Kiyomi had never really thought about the girl, though. She seemed decent enough. It's not like Revy was a bully or anything: quite the opposite. She kept to herself when around others, distancing herself. Kiyomi often did that, although she did go out with friends from time to time. She wondered if Revy ever did the same with her friends.

Kiyo continued to hold out her hand to help her fellow kunoichi to her feet. "I.. I'm really sorry, Revy. I wasn't watching where I was going, and I apologize for that," she told her in a softer voice, blushing a little at being so klutzy. She hoped Revy would take her hand soon. The crowds were jostling them; thankfully, though, the crowds seemed to be thinning. A thought came to Kiyo's mind. "Um... I know that this is probably rather sudden, but, um... might you like to join me for a bite to eat? I was thinking of getting some ramen..." she explained nervously, glancing towards the ramen shop again. She didn't know what had made her say that, but she felt that she had to do something to make it up to the petite pink-haired girl she had so carelessly knocked over.

Just as she continued walking, not paying attention to where she was going, Revy had bumped into yet another person. One who had actually seemed to notice her this time, unlike the rest of the people. Revy is rather lite on her feet, and with the weight of her scythe behind her, the small bump turned into something a little more, and she had fallen back. beneath all the talking of the people walking by, a small thud, and raddle of a chain was heard, once she had hit the ground. Placing her elbow on the ground, and lifting her head off the ground slightly, Revy rubbed the back of her head and let out a quiet "oooowwwww" sound. Her eyes were closed for a moment, but once she had opened them, she saw a familiar face., holding her hand out. It was no other then Kiyomi, Tsuakimazen clan. Revy didn't know her personally, but saw her around a lot during the academy days, as well as watching her go off on missions. Revy didn't interact with others much, so she never really spoke to Kiyomi, nor anyone else.

Revy held her hand out, and lifted herself up, with the help of Kiyomi, who had held her hand out. Once she had gotten to her feet, she noticed her scythe had fallen off the strap on her back, and was still on the floor behind her. As she turned around to grab her Scythe, she heard Kiyomi talking, apologizing for bumping into her. When she had turned around, and fastened her scythe on her strap better, she faced Kiyomi and spoke "...It's ok.." in a rather soft, quiet voice. The first time she had ever really spoken to Kiyomi, or anyone in general for a long time, for she always kept quiet and just nodded most of the time. The crowds in the street began to thin, as the day was getting late, and more and more people were finishing their shopping, and heading home for the day. Just at that moment, right when Revy thought Kiyomi would continue her walk, and forget Revy was even there, she had asked if Revy wanted to grab something to eat with her. Though Revy was hungry, she was somewhat shy when people acknowledged her like this, but if she denied, it would have made her seem rude. Revy nodded her head.

"Sure.."

"Alright then, come on," Kiyomi said with a hesitant smile. She knew the girl was shy, and she felt a little uncomfortable with her as she led the way to the ramen shop. Soon enough, though, her hunger overrode the feelings of awkwardness. Revy seemed like a nice enough girl, and maybe she was just as nervous as Kiyomi felt. Kiyo shrugged it off as she sat on one of the stools in front of the counter of the ramen shop. The woman behind the shop counter was alone today, and she gave the two girls a warm smile when they entered the shop, then went back to tending to her noodles. Kiyo motioned to the seat next to her so Revy would know she was welcome to sit next to her.

"Hello Kanade-san," Kiyo greeted as the woman behind the counter finally turned to get a good look at the two of them. "Hello you two. What would you like to eat today?" The black-haired, middle-aged lady behind the counter did not seem to ignore Revy's presence like most villagers did. Kanade was giving them both smiles, and Kiyomi returned the smile. "Two orders of the ramen special today. They're both on me," Kiyomi replied, looking to Revy to see if she had any objections. "You alright with that, or do you want something else?" Kiyomi asked her as Kanade set to work making their orders.

Hopefully she has no objections, lol

After a few moments, the smell of the delicious ramen wafted around the small shop. Kiyomi had gone back to slumping in her chair, looking around at the familiar things in the shop as they awaited their order. Wanting to be friendly and not bore Revy, Kiyomi suddenly turned to her. "So, Revy, how has your training been going? Personally I can't wait until the chunin exams. I'm determined to pass this year," she told her in a soft, calm voice. She was glad to have found a topic they could both talk about. Kiyomi was personally very interested in the girl and her strange scythe weapon, but didn't want to ask outright. She planned on asking about it soon, though.

As she waited for her answer, Kanade came over with two steaming bowls of ramen with vegetables and all kinds of delicious things in the bowls. She placed one in front of each girl's seats. "Here you are girls," the lady said before turning away to go back to work. Kiyomi took a pair of chopsticks and broke them, still waiting for Revy's answer as she waited for the noodles to cool a bit.

Revy followed close behind Kiyomi, following her to a nereby Ramen shop. As they had entered, a lady gave them a smile for a moment, but turned to tend to her duties, as it appeared she was the only one working behind the counter today. Revy never visited here before, but always walked past the outside of the shop, wondering what it was like. Revy watched as Kiyo took a seat on a stool, and motioned Revy to sit beside her, which she did. Just as she took her seat, the lady behind the counter turned, and got a close look at the two Genin. She had black hair, and appeared to be middle aged. And she didn't ignore Revy's presence, or overlook it, as most people in the village did. Just as she had asked what they wanted, Revy didn't know what to say, but luckily Kiyomi stood in and made a choice. Revy's not to familiar with the present day customs, or even whats on the menu in a Ramen shop. Because she lived alone, she never ate out at places like this, and always ate at home. Just at that moment Kiyomi turned her attention to Revy, asking if she was alright with that, and wanted anything else. "N-no, that's fine.." Revy replied with. The truth was, she didn't know what else there was, or even what some of the stuff here tasted like. The women turned, and went to prepare their meals, and the shop got a little quiet, save for the cooking noises made behind the counter.

Revy sat there,, staring back behind the counter. Not exactly watching the lady prepare their food, but just spacing out a little as the aroma of ramen filled the shop. Suddenly, Kiyomi brought her attention to Revy once again, which Revy looked back, mostly out of the corner of her eyes. Kiyomi had asked about her training, and mentioned the Chuunin Exams. "Training is going fine....But i was told to stop because I'm to far ahead of the others..so i haven't been training much recently..". Revy didn't mean to sound cocky in any way, but because of what is sealed inside of her, and how it effects her overall skill in speed, strength, reflexes, she's on a way higher league then most of those her age, or rank. As for the Chuunin exams, there was no doubt she knew she would pass it, but Revy decided not to say anything about it, if she could.

Just at that moment, the lady behind the counter approached them with their food, and placed the bowls on the counter in front of them. Kiyo split her pair of chopsticks, but Revy sat there for a moment looking at the watery food inside of the bowl. It wasn't to different then what she ate at home, but it looked a lot more expensive then what she usually finds at a store. Luckily, Revy hadn't worn her gauntlet today, because she didn't have any plans on training, or fighting, for if she had, she might have easily scratched the bowl, or broke her chopsticks. Taking the chopsticks in hand, she split them, and began to eat. Though unlike Kiyomi, she hadn't though about waiting for it to cool down, and bit right into a steaming hot noddle. The feeling made her jump a little, and turned her face a little red. She was so use to eating directly after it cooked at home, that she hadn't thought about how hot it was here. After rubbing her mouth, and hoping Kiyomi hadn't noticed, she placed her chopsticks down, and waited while it cooled.

Kiyomi was a little surprised by what Revy said. Is she really that far ahead? she thought with distinct curiosity and interest. Kiyomi glanced over at Revy again and she was waiting for her food to cool as well. "You must be really good then," she commented, using her chopsticks to push around the noodles a bit. Once she had deemed them cool enough, she lifted some noodles into the air, blowing on them a little before starting to eat. After a few moments chewing, Kiyomi decided to speak again. After swallowing what was in her mouth, she spoke again. "Surely they can't force you to stop training, right? I mean, that's practically all we do as Genin. Go on mainly stupid, petty missions and train," she said, then eating a few mushrooms on the side of the bowl. She loved the food here, although she couldn't say it was her favorite food in the world. This was practically the only place she ate out at, but mostly she stayed home and ate her mum's cooking.

After thinking for a little bit about asking to see her in action, she swallowed the mushrooms and turned her head a bit so she was looking at Revy. "Maybe I could see you in action sometime," she said with a grin. "Maybe we could even spar sometime. The only person I really spar is my older brother Sora. He's no fun, though, because its always the same moves with him," she told her. She pushed her chopsticks around the bowl of noodles, a soft, small smile on her lips as she turned her eyes back to her food. "Or maybe we could go on a mission together as comrades. But not a stupid one they usually give us Genin; one that will test our abilities. That way we'd still be able to see each other in action, but we wouldn't have to fight one another," she suggested, a small chuckle escaping her lips before she took another bite of noodles. She really wanted to see the extent of her own strength, too. Not just Revy's.

As soon as Revy's food cooled down, she began eating. "I'm not to far ahead...but apparently far enough to ahead where they have to slow my training down.." Revy stated, as soon as Kiyomi had finished speaking. She ate mostly just the noodles in her Ramen, as she wasn't to familiar with the other stuff in it. The only Ramen she ever ate was ramen you heated in water, and all it ever had in it was noodles.

"Sure..though i really don't think I'm that good..." Revy replied to Kiyo's idea of sparing, or going on a mission together. Revy wasn't on a team, and she often had different trainers, one after another. She never quite understood why, but thats just how it was. Things were still hard in a village that was just created not to long ago, but it hadn't bothered her really.

Revy had just finished the noodles in her bowl, and stirred the chopsticks in the juice, spinning around whats left in the bowl. One bowl was enough for her, as Revy didn't really eat much. Placing her elbow on the counter, and resting her head on her hand, Revy looked to Kiyomi, and tried to think of something to say, to keep things from getting awkward, but couldn't think of anything. She wasn't good at keeping conversations going, as she was usually very quiet. But at the same time, she didn't want Kiyomi to feel uncomfortable, or make herself look weird in any way.

Just at that moment, another person had walked into the shop, and took a seat right beside Revy, on an empty stool. The lady behind the counter did as usual, and approached him to take his order. He was a very large man, in comparison to Revy, and it was as if a mountain was towering over her. She removed her elbow from the counter, placed her hands on her lap, and sat straight in her seat with her head tilted down a little, and looked over for just a moment out of the corner of her eyes. It made her feel a little awkward, so she scooched herself over in the stool slightly, creating a bit more distance between her and him.

The man had ordered a lot on the Menu, and by the reaction the lady gave him, it appeared as if he usually visited this place a lot, around this time. The man turned, and looked down at Revy. "Excuse me, miss", the large man said in a rather kind voice. "The thing on your back keeps jabbing at my face". Revy looked up at him, and noticed the long handle of her scythe was pretty close to his face, but hadn't noticed it until now.

Revy face lit up red a little, and she grabbed the scythe off her back with just a single hand, and moved it, placing it in between her and Kiyomi, leaning on Revy, with the bladed end on the ground. The large chain of the weapon raddled as she moved it, and when placing it on the ground, it made a small thud. Carrying such a large weapon around could sometimes be a pain, though she's grown use to avoiding situations where her scythe would accidentally cut someone, or poke someone, and created a way to keep it on her back without letting that happen. Though the stools of this shop were somewhat new to her, and she hadn't been paying much attention to it since it was just her and Kiyomi in the shop for a while.

Revy turned her body completely in the chair, so she was facing Kiyomi, and let the scythe rest against her, with her knees on each side of the handle.

"Are you apart of a team?" Revy asked Kiyomi, just out of curiosity, and something to keep things from getting awkward.
