Kirigakure Armed Forces

Overview:

The Kirigakure Armed forces are the official fighting forces of Kirigakure in times of war and defense. All members are shinobi who have undergone both Basic Academy Training and Kirigakure Formation Conditioning. Each shinobi has a role to play, adding their abilities to the strongest war machine in the entire shinobi world. Following is a basic explanation of the various roles and a list of the shinobi of Kirigakure and the roles they play.

I: Your teams are not necessarily the official teams you have for instruction and missions. This is only in times where as a whole the village moves to war or defense.

II: Break Down

Standard Squad
A standard squad is made of 4 four man teams and a two man command cell: 2 of which are Combat teams, 1 is a Support team, and the last is a Medic team.

Command Cell
This group will direct all the actions of the squad while in combat, and serves as the link between the squad and the Mizukage’s orders or one of his subordinates.

The Combat Team
A combat team utilizes the skills of any shinobi specializing in the arts of taijutsu, kenjutsu, short-mid range ninjutsu, or any other offensive defensive capability excluding genjutsu and fuuinjutsu. Each team will have a leader of Jounin strength, or a trusted Chuunin.

The Support Team
The Support team is any kind of specialty that does not include direct combat. In this team will be shinobi skilled in the arts of genjutsu, special effect type fuuinjutsu, or long range ninjutsu. A support team will not be in the thick of combat, and will generally require a combat team’s aid if under attack by close range ninja. The primary purpose of this team in any situation is to aid the combat teams in their objectives.

The Medic Team
A fairly simple but critical role. The medic teams are comprised typically of 3 medical ninja and an escort. Their role is to save as many lives as possible and keep their squads mobile.

Special Ops
There will always be a max of 4 four man special operation teams. These will typically be composed of members of the Kinsei Hakari Squad, specifically designed to engage high profile targets and perform critical missions on the battle field. They may be under the direction of the Mizukage himself or one of the Sennins.

Lone Wolves
This role is very specialized and comprises of shinobi masterful in the arts of espionage, sabotage, stealth, and assassination. These are one man units, designed to survive behind enemy lines and eliminate threats that require subtlety.

III: Wanderer/Missing-Nin Policy

Wanderers and Missing-Nins enjoy the protection of Kirigakure. As such the upper echelons would hope this protection would generate some degree of loyalty. However Wanderers and Missing-Nin are not drafted into the Kirigakure forces, however once you sign up your loyalty is sealed. Betrayal equals the price of failure, which is death.
